Gear Drive Rotors

Water-lubricated gear drive for medium and large turf: 4.8-14.44 m radius, 25°-360° arcs, ratcheting rack, standard or low-angle nozzles.

Gear drive vs impact sprinkler: gear drive rotors rotate through a sealed gear train – quieter, no spray distortion from the arm strike, and lower flow required per zone. Impact sprinklers still win on gritty, unfiltered water because the mechanism is open and self-cleaning. For filtered landscape water, gear drive wins uniformity.

Feature highlights

Adjustable arc 25°-360°

Ratchet the rack to set the arc start; adjust angle at the top of the stem – no tools.

Radius by screw

One-turn radius reduction screw on the nozzle; exchange nozzles in seconds from the top.

Sealed against ingress

Spring-loaded wiper seal blocks dirt and keeps the stem retracting cleanly.

Water-lubricated gears

The catalog-stated lubrication system needs no grease and keeps rotation consistent over 500+ hours of continuous testing.

How does a gear drive sprinkler work?
Water spins a turbine that drives the nozzle through a sealed, water-lubricated gear train, giving slow, even rotation and a consistent precipitation rate across the arc.
What is the difference between RW-100 and RW-200?
Same 7.22-14.44 m radius class. RW-100 is a PP body with 11 cm pop-up; RW-200 is ABS with 12.5 cm pop-up. Nozzle kits: RW-100 ships with 2.5#, RW-200 with 2.0#.
Which rotor for a 1/2″ lateral?
RW-200H accepts a 1/2″ female inlet and covers 4.8-10.7 m – ideal for compact residential zones.
Can arcs be set from 90° to full circle?
Yes. Every RW rotor adjusts continuously from 25° to 360°.

Frequently asked questions

Gear drive vs impact rotor — which should a distributor carry?

Gear drive rotors dominate residential and municipal retrofits for quiet, even coverage; impact heads still sell into agriculture and dust suppression. Carrying both covers the full market.

What radius range do your gear drive rotors cover?

RW-100 covers 7.22-14.44 m, RW-200 up to 15.8 m with a 3-year warranty line, and RW-200H fits compact 1/2″ inlet retrofits — together they span lawns to sports fields.
